College and Young Adult Ministry

At First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota, we nurture our college students while they are away from their faith family through care packages, postcards and fellowship events for them when they come home for visits. Area college students are welcome to be a part of our congregation through worship and affiliate membership. We are always looking for engaged young Presbyterians to be involved in the life of the church – youth advisors, mission participants and more! Many local students sing in our choir as vocal interns. Apply for a scholarship.

Scholarship money is available for the each academic year. Interested students and families should pick up an application from the church office and return it by July 1. Transcripts, including those from the previous spring semester, should be included or forwarded as soon as available. Returning applicants need only to update their grades (transcript sent to church) and contact information. All college and technical school students are encouraged to apply. Scholarship Application
